After 16 career top 5's and 6 2nd-place finishes in the Nextel Cup Series, Kasey Kahne recorded his first Cup Victory at the Chevy American Revolution 400 in Richmond on May 14th after holding off numerous furious charges from FBG Racing captain Tony Stewart. Kahne led the most laps on Saturday, and was the class of the field. 

After a hectic yet typical day at Talladega, involving the Big One which collected 25 cars and a late wreck involving 6 cars, Jeff Gordon managed to finish the Aaron's 499 unscathed, and crossed the finish line 1-2 with FBG Racing captain Tony Stewart to record his 72nd career win and his 3rd of the season.
